Want a sneak peek of what you can look forward to at the 4th Annual Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest? Then check out this look at The Galley's 2025 GBIRF menu.

The 4th Annual Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest will return August 2–16, with over a dozen participating restaurants offering prix fixe menus inclusive of an appetizer, entrée, and dessert.

Under the theme “Authenticity Reimagined,” each restaurant has been asked to showcase its unique culinary spin on Bahamian classics.

The Galley's Executive Chef, Harold Pinder, has showcased his culinary expertise in the GBIRF for the last three years, and each time he takes his dishes to a new level. This year, he will unveil three all-new, festival-exclusive dishes, including a conch croquette with piri piri sauce and pigeon pea salsa as the meal's opener. The entrée is a flavourful and unique take on classic fish and grits. Their Island Spiced Grouper is served with coconut grits made with ground rice and burnt pineapple salsa. Pillowy Guava Fritters with toasted coconut sorbet end the meal on a sweet high.

The Galley team also teased a new cocktail that they will feature during the Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest, which includes a refreshing mix of cucumber, fresh berries, rum, and prosecco.

The Galley restaurant is located at the Xquisite Catamaran Center (the Old Running Mon Marina).

In addition to the prix fixe menus that will be offered from August 2–16, the annual festival will kick off with the Annual Taste of Grand Bahama event at the Port Lucaya Marketplace on August 2. Much like last year, this will serve as the official launch of the festival and will feature live entertainment, activities for the entire family, and participating stores offering one-day-only food specials and samples.

The event will also include a mixology demo by international Bahamian mixologist Marv Cunningham and the return of the GBIRF Mixology Competition. Last year, MJ from Fair Play Lounge took home top honors, but the competition will be steep as it has been opened up to all Grand Bahamian bartenders.

The 4th Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest is presented by the Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board. For more info, visit their website at www.grandbahamavacations.com.
