Brunch is better when your best friend comes along—especially when that best friend has four legs and a tail. Thankfully, Nassau is wagging its way toward becoming more pet-friendly, with a growing list of restaurants that welcome your furry companions. Whether you’re sipping a mimosa or sharing a snack under the Bahamian sun, these casual brunch and lunch spots make it easy to enjoy the weekend vibe without leaving your fur baby behind.

Here are a few of our favorite places where both you and your pup can enjoy a laid-back brunch in Nassau:

Bon Vivants This cocktail bar and café in Sandyport is a vibe—mid-century glam meets island casual. Their garden-style outdoor seating is dog-friendly, and their extensive beverage menu (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) is anything but boring. Your dog will be perfectly content lounging in the shade while you sip your way through their signature cocktails.

Mi & B’s Bistro A few steps away from Bon Vivants, you’ll find Mi & B’s Bistro. Tucked into a cozy corner of Olde Towne Sandyport, Mi & B’s Bistro offers a picture-perfect canal-front view and some of the best pancakes in Nassau, making it the ideal brunch spot. Their shaded patio is perfect for pups, and the weekend menu has something for everyone. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and your dog will love people-watching just as much as you love your mimosa.

Island Brothers For those who love a little French flair with their brunch, Island Brothers in the Lyford Cay Shopping Plaza is a must. Their beautiful outdoor patio is totally dog-approved, and the menu leans gourmet without being fussy. We’re talking avocado toast, poached eggs, and chilled rosé. What else could you ask for?

Gone Fishin’If a traditional Bahamian meal is what you’re after, then you absolutely have to head straight to Arawak Cay. The open-air options are endless, but the best views and food combo, in my humble opinion, are at Gone Fishin’. This no-frills beach bar/restaurant will leave you feeling both full and totally relaxed. Your dog will love the open-air setting, and you’ll love the no-fuss, all-flavor vibe.

So grab your shades, leash up your pup, and hit the town—because in Nassau, brunch is officially going to the dogs (in the best way possible).
