Nassau’s Arawak Cay—better known as The Fry—is home to dozens of restaurants, making it a lively but sometimes overwhelming place to choose where to eat. Goldie’s Conch House stands out as one of the larger options along the strip, offering a laid-back atmosphere, water-view seating, and a menu packed with fresh seafood.
The restaurant offers both indoor seating and water-view tables, making it a comfortable place to settle in whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over lunch. Goldie’s is known for its seafood, and it shows—every dish we tried came loaded with fresh conch and fish. One standout was the conch chowder—a creamy, comforting bowl that was heavy on the conch and full of flavour. It’s a must-try if you're stopping in for the first time.
Another solid choice is the blackened grilled fish. While it wasn’t listed on the menu during our visit, one member of our group who is a regular asked for it, and the kitchen was happy to make it.
We also recommend asking to sit by the window on the left side of the restaurant. This spot overlooks the area where they clean the conch, and if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of wild turtles or other marine life drawn in by the activity. It’s a small detail, but one that adds to the overall experience of dining at Goldie’s.
Whether you’re a regular at The Fry or visiting for the first time, Goldie’s Conch House serves up the kind of fresh, simple seafood that keeps people coming back.
