If you’re craving a quick summer escape, North Eleuthera offers the perfect weekend getaway. Just a short 15-minute flight from Nassau via Western Air, it’s possible to depart New Providence at 7 a.m. and touch down at the North Eleuthera Airport before many have finished their morning coffee.
In this series, we will be focusing on mainland Northern Eleuthera, but a quick breakfast in Harbour Island is a great start to any trip. Harbour Island is just a short five-minute taxi ride from the airport to the Three Island Dock (about $10 per person), followed by another five-minute water ferry ride (which costs $5–7 per person).
The Landing is a great breakfast spot with delicious food and views, and it’s conveniently located right across from the Government Dock (where the water taxi drops off passengers), so there was no need to rent a golf cart.

After enjoying a relaxed meal, we were picked up by The Farm’s water ferry directly at the Government Dock. The Farm, a relaxed boutique property, is an ideal place to unwind and soak in the quieter side of mainland Eleuthera. Stay tuned for our upcoming feature on the property and its two sister properties—The Other Side and Ocean View Club.
