First Bite at Taquería Don Flamingo: Flavor on Wheels

Specializing in authentic tacos, this mobile eatery brings a burst of flavor to the street food scene—just make sure to check their Instagram for current hours, location updates, and menu offerings.

On our first visit, we sampled their shrimp taco, and it quickly won us over. The taco was fresh and flavorful, with a satisfying balance of textures and spices. One standout feature was the self-serve station of house-made sauces and salsas—each one bright, bold, and clearly crafted with care. These additions elevated the taco experience and were easily our favorite part of the visit. We were also impressed that the tortillas were made from scratch, adding an extra layer of authenticity to each bite.

Each order comes with a single taco, so we’d recommend ordering three or four for a full meal. While we found the seasoning delicious, those with a sensitivity to salt may want to keep that in mind. We also tried a dessert offering, which didn’t quite hit the mark for us, but with so much else to explore on their menu, it’s clear that Don Flamingo deserves another visit.
