Today, we’re spotlighting not one but two tasty newcomers in the Prince Charles Shopping Centre: I.C. Sweet Treats and Duck Donuts. Both of these sweet spots opened within the last six months, bringing fresh flavors and cheerful vibes to the area—and we couldn't wait to check them out.
First up, I.C. Sweet Treats is a cozy shop that specializes in bubble tea, ice cream, and house-made popcorn. During our visit, we were greeted with warm, friendly service, setting the tone for a great first impression. We opted for a brown sugar milk tea with brown sugar boba, and it did not disappoint. The drink was flavorful and satisfyingly chewy—everything a good bubble tea should be. It’s clear this place takes pride in both its products and its hospitality.
A short walk across the plaza brings you to Duck Donuts, a U.S.-based chain that just opened its first location in The Bahamas. The shop offers made-to-order donuts, coffee drinks, and a bright, welcoming atmosphere. We tried the blueberry streusel donut, which was served warm and fresh. The outside was crispy, while the inside stayed soft and cakey. The frosting added a nice touch of sweetness without going overboard.
After just one visit to each, our first impression was a good one: these spots are worth a stop if you’re in the area. Whether you're craving a refreshing bubble tea or a warm donut made just for you, I.C. Sweet Treats and Duck Donuts both offer a sweet experience. And while First Impressions reviews are just that—a first take—they give a taste of what these businesses are all about. Based on our experience, we’re already looking forward to round two.
