R&B singer Ginuwine celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Ginuwine...The Bachelor, with a headlining performance at Atlantis Resort's most recent R&B Brunch.
Attendees enjoyed a full brunch spread complete with mimosas, a special brunch station by award-winning chef Deja Rutherford of Kitchen Culture 242, and an opening performance by Essence Band.
Before taking the stage, Ginuwine reflected on his musical legacy, expressed gratitude for the longevity of his career and recalled the fun experience of creating his debut album with legendary producer Timbaland.
When asked whether he ever imagined fans would still be singing his songs word for word three decades later, Ginuwine shared, "You never think that. You hope for it, but you just hope for the best."
Reflecting on the recording process, he added, "I put my heart and soul into the songs and the album," revealing that he and Timbaland recorded approximately 45 to 50 songs before selecting the final tracks.
"When me and Timbaland was in there, it was fun," he recalled, explaining that they wanted the album to remain true to its concept and reflect the perspective of a bachelor.
Three decades later, Ginuwine continues to connect with audiences through the music that helped define his career.
