Hundreds of Santa-clad runners, walkers, and pets hit the streets of Nassau on December 6 for the 3rd annual Junkanoo Jingle to Bay 5K.

The route, which included a Junkanoo rush-out, carolers, live holiday music, and steel pan players throughout, started with an ocean backdrop at Santa’s Village at the Western Esplanade through Bay Street and back.

Upon completing the race, each participant received a medal and was treated to a shot of gully wash, as well as healthy snacks courtesy of the event’s sponsors. Kids also received kiddie packs, and there were raffle prizes as well as prizes for the most festive costumes.

Organizers described the event as more than just a run: “It’s a vibrant celebration that blends the electrifying spirit of Junkanoo, festive family fun, and a healthy twist on your holiday traditions.”

The event was hosted by Four Seasons Race Management and is one that we will be adding to the Poinciana Magazine list of events to check out in 2026.
