Businesswoman, actress, and vegan Tabitha Brown had warm words for a Grand Bahama chef after a recent visit to The Bahamas. In a video shared on her social media pages in late 2025, Brown spoke about a vegan meal prepared for her at The Galley restaurant by Executive Chef Harold Pinder. Her message was simple and clear. If you are ever in Grand Bahama, you should go and check it out.

In the short video, Brown could be seen enjoying her meal and reacting to each bite. “Oh my. Oh my goodness. It’s delicious. Baby, I’m in my happy place, you hear me. OK Grand Bahama, The Galley, c’mon chef,” she said. She also told viewers to “ask for the vegan shepherd’s pie that Tab had.”

The dish she praised was created by Chef Pinder, who prepared a full vegan spread for Brown during her visit. He served a vegan shepherd’s pie with a coconut potato crust, along with a roasted pumpkin bisque finished with pumpkin seed oil, toasted pepita seeds, and coconut cream. The plates were made to suit Brown’s plant-based diet while still reflecting the flavors and care that define The Galley’s kitchen.

Chef Pinder is no stranger to the wider food world. He has taken part in several international food and wine festivals, including the Baha Mar Food and Wine Festival in October 2025. He was also “Resident Chef” at the recent Pen To Plate event hosted at the Berkshire Farms, where he worked alongside some of the top Bahamian culinary minds.

Brown was in The Bahamas for a series of speaking engagements when she visited The Galley. Her video gave viewers a small look at a relaxed moment, one where good food and kind words met. For Chef Pinder and his team, it was a simple reminder that careful cooking and respect for ingredients can travel far beyond the kitchen.
